I’VE SEEN VARIOUS BLOGS RECENTLY, ALL FOCUSED ON PHONE ACTIVITIES WITHIN RECRUITMENT, BUT SURELY THERE’S MORE TO THIS JOB THAN JUST PICKING UP THE PHONE?
Social media is absolutely huge right now, and is definitely carving the future of recruitment. Everyone – recruiters and organisations – are noticeably upping their game across social media channels, making a huge difference to the recruitment world. Surely though, face to face networking events will never lose their purpose – and being a chatty lot, we love to mingle!
Here at Executive Network Group, we’ve had a very busy few weeks. Across our brands, we’ve been attending various events across the country.
Our guys and girls from Network HR had a blast at the HR Directors’ Business Summit, as well as sponsoring an award at the HR Distinction awards.
The HSE Recruitment Network have also been representing the group, attending various HSE roundtable events, including last week’s ‘Safety Differently’ talk by John Green and the Women in Health and Safety event in Leicester.
Our team at RED Recruitment have also been incredibly busy, with RED Pharma attending the UK Health Show and RED Metals attending the Southern Manufacturing show!
The Equipment Network also went over to the Ricoh last week to attend the Executive Hire Show, and had a great time meeting lots of new faces within the world of construction equipment.
This is just the beginning as we have various events to not only attend, but also exhibit at this year across our 6 brands!
We operate in niche sectors and enjoy partnering with our clients as industry specialists. This means we invest time to network in our market space to create a more personal network, rather than just talking over the phone or emailing. As much as some people could see it as just a jolly to get out the office, we are still hard at work, just a different kind of work!
It’s more than just ‘picking up the phone’ and bashing out 50 cold calls, we give our consultants an edge on the competition by attending key events and meeting industry relevant specialists.
