Part of a major international group, this organisation has recently invested in modern manufacturing facility to produce high volume products for a variety of market sectors. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will primarily responsible for the execution of capital or improvement projects from conception to final acceptance and handover.
Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Shropshire
Salary: to £45000 + benefits
o Establishing new program capital equipment, tooling, gauge and plant upfit costs for installation on new programs.
o Develop plant layout, material flow, equipment tracking and manufacturing process for new programs.
o Manufacturing Engineering Sign Offs for all launch gates. Get equipment built, installed and certified on time to meet customer deliverables.
o Work with production plant to ensure staffing, plant layout, utility needs and timing are understood and agreed upon.
o Work with the production plant to achieve timely and proper installation and certification of the capital equipment so program expectations are met (financial and performance).
Skills and Experience:
o Significant Manufacturing Engineering , Project Engineering or Industrial Engineering experience delivering new production facilities into high volume manufacturing environment.
o Industrial Engineering Skills (Plant layout – capacity planning, process flow, material layout, Direct and Indirect labour efficiency)
o Skilled in problem solving
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Proven interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
o Project management experience with proven record of success with CAPEX capital budgets and vendor management.
o Engineering Degree (or equivalent experience), Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering
