Salary: c£40,000 + bonus
An Operations and Project Manager is required to work for a reputable Decking, Fencing & Balustrades business based in Preston to manage all trade and labour on site. This company don’t manufacture their products on site, but they are manufactured within the UK, so on this site essentially they store and prep the products prior to installation. Their products are considered to be one of the leading decking products on the market and their business over the last year have gone from strength to strength.
Project Management, Operations Management and Performance improvement will be the aim of the game with this position – underpinned by a demonstrable track record of success in people-management. Improving installation speed, ironing out any inefficiencies in operations, getting creative with labour gaps (installation teams) and cost-control where possible.
As their Operations Manager we would expect this individual to have experience in working with, and managing the performance of subcontractors as well as their direct staff. They will be deadline-focussed and able to build a meaningful rapport with their team – motivating them to perform, addressing any performance issues and establishing a collaborate rapport.
As their Operations Manager you will be reporting into the Operations Director, and the culture of the business is a “family-feel”, and very supportive. There is a huge amount of technical knowledge and expertise which already largely sits within the teams, therefore the majority focus for this role is management and leadership.
