Network HR are working exclusively with a high-touch financial services firm to support with the hire of a HR Compliance Officer to join their closely-knit, high performing team. Reporting into the Head of HR Operations the HR Compliance Officer will be responsible for supporting with the administration and co-ordination of the delivery of all risk, regulatory and compliance governance within HR, from HR Policy regulatory reviews to supporting with the day-to-day management of the Senior Managers Certificate Regime activities and supporting with Risk Management activities. Responsibilities will include:
•Supporting the Head of HR Operations with all Regulatory and Compliance projects, including First Line Controls, GDPR and any other key regulatory requirements that are a key focus for the business at any particular time.
•Testing controls in place for all HR procedures on a cyclical basis, writing reports for PLT, providing feedback to relevant HR division on findings and agree actions and deadlines.
•Co-ordinate the annual policy and procedure reviews for each HR division in line with the policy review plan ensuring that any governance for sign off and/or authorisation has been adhered to.
•Ensuring BARA’s completed and/or reviewed for each procedure as part of annual review.
•Supporting with the implementation of GDPR processes within each HR division and monitoring and assessing continued adherence with the firms GDPR policy and procedure.
•Carry out ad hoc checks on data retention within HR division to ensure actions taking place as detailed in the data retention schedule.
•Provide administrative support for SMCR including managing the monthly working group meetings.
•Owning on going management of SMCR Process Maps by working with Compliance and the relevant HR division to keep process maps up to date, ensuring continued adherence to FCA and PRA regulatory guidance.
•Acting as project manager for the Annual F&P process ensuring SMF’s, Certified Colleagues, MRT’s, HR, Compliance and other stakeholders taking appropriate actions in line with their process and timelines.
•Supporting with the administration for risk events within HR – ensuring any learnings and actions identified are put in place.
•Supporting with an annual review of the HR System ensuring compliant with current legislation – working with HR MI and Systems Lead on all updates.
•Support Head of HR Operations to carry out internal HR audit and compliance reviews and writing up of reports as required for PLT.
•Supporting HR divisions with annual Audits and Compliance Monitoring reviews run by Compliance and Audit.
The successful candidate will hold the below experience and knowledge;
• Strong ability to analyse data, document trends and create reports to be presented by the executive committee.
• Natural ability and interest in understanding how regulation, legislation and policies apply to and determine HR processes.
• Strong working knowledge of SMCR as it applies to HR process.
• Prior, recent experience working within financial services in a similar, HR Operations type role.
• Good understanding and experience in updating policies as a result of changes in regulation and advice.
• HR governance and controls experience / appreciation.
