Material Planning & Logistics Manager (MP&L)
Salary: c£60000 + benefits
Location: West Midlands ( commutable from Wolverhampton, Walsall, Birmingham, Dudley, West Bromwich areas )
We are looking for a high calibre individual to be part of the leadership team, reporting to the Plant Manager able to deliver high quality performance throughout Warehouse, Production Planning and Materials Management.
o Responsible for the delivery of both tactical execution and strategy across Supply Chain and Materials Management (SIOP, Production Control, MPS, Inventory, Capacity etc.)
o Liaise with other supporting functions e.g. Operations, Engineering, Quality and Finance.
o Accountable for the underlying capability of the whole supply base, including strategic relationship management, commodity strategies, supply base rationalisation, New Product Introduction and all sourcing decisions and cost.
o Lead the deployment of Materials Management strategies aligning with Materials & SIOP strategy.
o Ensuring robust capacity and forecasting processes across the business in order to meet agreed customer requirements.
o Drive Continuous Improvement and implement future state strategy to optimise Business capability and reduce operational overhead.
o Strong people management skills, with the ability to deliver results by empowering your team; must be comfortable with providing performance related feedback and challenging, mentoring and coaching individuals.
You will already be an experienced manufacturing MP&L Manager, Master Production Planner, Materials Manager or Supply Chain Manager who is now seeking a larger corporate organisation in order to develop your career.
o Proven experience in a supply chain/leadership role with increasing levels of responsibility for materials management, production planning and inventory control gained in high volume manufacturing sector, ideally automotive supply chain
o Degree qualified within Supply Chain, Business or Technical Engineering disciplines or equivalent ie ILM5, NVQ5, CIPS
o Knowledge of Lean principles and applied practice, coupled with a desire to continuously improve performance
o Highly data and IT literate particularly with ERP/ MRP systems
o Competent leader and motivator of your direct reports and able to influence wider group of colleagues and suppliers
