HSE Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a growing business in Lichfield who are recruiting for a SHEQ Officer to be based at their head office and manufacturing site in Lichfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business who have seen incredible growth in the last 12 months and who only have plans to strive in the future. As they grow the SHEQ department, you will be a key player in the team, supporting in the implementation of the overall EHS the strategy.

The company are growing and may be opening a second site in the local area, so it is a really exciting time to join. There is a very flat structure in the business and as such, everyone is approachable and they are a close knit but progressive business.
Your role will be a broad, hands on and visible HSEQ position - supporting the delivery, implementation and compliance of the company Safety, Health, chemical Regulatory, Environmental and Quality policies alongside the manager and another officer. You will provide accurate product classifications to aid in the safe handling of chemical products and provide advice and guidance on all areas of SHEQ. You will communicate regulatory and legislative changes to internal and external stakeholders and ensure ISO 9001 and 14001, chemical and health and safety legislation are established, implemented, and maintained.
Skills and Experience:
• Ideally you will already be in a similar role and ready to take your next step
• NEBOSH Certificate would be desired as well as experience with the ISO systems (9001 and 14001)
• Broad Knowledge and understanding of HSEQ regulatory compliance as well as auditing experience, COSHH and RA’s
• Experience working within manufacturing environment is required and any experience of knowledge with chemistry or chemical processes is advantageous
• Self-motivated and able to use own initiative, inquisitive and be able to learn quickly and grasp new systems
• Positive and enthusiastic approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
