Part of a major international group, this organisation has recently invested in a new manufacturing facility and is currently launching new products for the automotive industry. As a Maintenance Engineer your role will be to oversee and lead preventative and reactive plant maintenance for the weekend shift within a modern highly automated manufacturing facility.

Weekend shift -  Friday, Saturday and Sunday - days only

Location: Telford, Shropshire
Reporting to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager the Weekend Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for the coordination and leadership of the maintenance team currently on shift. You will  liaise with the production leaders to achieve manufacturing targets specifically around plant availability and PM completion, ensuring equipment availability is in line with departmental targets for shift
Duties:
o Provide breakdown support to manufacturing areas of the business.
o Carry out improvements and preventative maintenance on automated production lines
o Carry out fault finding activities on large automated machinery incorporating robotics, PLC, HMI, material handling, hydraulics and pneumatics
o TPM/ PPM in high volume automated production facilities
o Adhere to strict working practices and safety practices
o Continuous improvements process to production equipment and machines 
o Support future capital equipment investment planning , installation and commissioning
Requirements:
Applications are sought from Multi skilled Maintenance Engineers, Maintenance Technicians or Maintenance Supervisors with experience gained in high volume automated machinery, ideally from automotive, foundry or similar high technology sectors
o Time served/ apprentice trained with Multi skilled engineering or Mechatronics qualification and training – C&G, BTEC, NVQ level
o Proven ability to lead and motivate engineering teams
o Knowledge of automated and hydraulics process machinery such as moulding, stamping, forging, casting, heat treatment with associated robotic automation for inspection and material handling
o Experience of electrical control systems, PLC and data collection /HMI fault finding
o Experience of implementing planned maintenance & TPM systems
o Willing to work a permanent weekend day shift comprising Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with flexibility to cover other shifts if required.
