My client is one of the UK’s leading Energy businesses, managing a network which delivers services to millions of domestic and business customers across England. They currently have a requirement for a Health & Safety Specialist to join their motivated, experienced team.
The role of Health & Safety Specialist will see you providing guidance, leadership and support across the business in all matters concerning Health & Safety. You will help drive standards and performance in all areas, taking a lead in the rolling out and monitoring of new policy. This is a wide and varied role that will include some Quality Assurance work, Project Management, engagement with the HSE and much more. You will work closely with senior leaders across the business, advising, guiding and delivering recommendations to board level.
The Health & Safety Specialist role will suit a great safety all rounder who has the following skills & experience:
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) qualification
- Membership of IOSH (or a similar professional accreditation)
- Experience of dealing with stakeholders at all levels up to Board
- Able to drive Health & Safety engagement across multiple areas of a business
- Full UK Driving License
This role supports the Corporate function of the business which covers most of England, and is a hybrid position that offers a great deal of autonomy around home / remote working whilst retaining an expectation that you will be out and about, building relationships across the business.
A basic salary of between £42-48k is on offer for the CDM Specialist role, along with a fantastic corporate benefits package and pension scheme. There is the possibility of a company car, although you would need to do over 7000 miles a year to qualify, which it’s not thought you would do in this role. Alternatively, you will be paid 45ppm for use of your own vehicle for business use, with all other business travel costs covered.
