The Executive Network Group’s Logistics & Transport division has a fantastic opportunity to join a fantastic, global 3PL at their site near Heathrow as their Head of Compliance to ensure Quality, Health, Safety and Compliance policies and standards are fully implemented and sustained in all areas of the QHSE team and by extension the organization as a whole.
Head of Compliance – Heathrow

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a technological and competitive watch on QSHE
  • Implement different standards into an integrated management system by interpreting applicable standards
  • Define and negotiate the objectives for the year for the UK, along with the objectives as set by Head Office.
  • Review and communicate the means to be implemented, the monitoring or audit procedures, keeping within the constraints of corresponding budget for Company and local activity
  • Participate in communication, promotion of the QSHE policy – regular articles in E-view
  • Working with the Group, help to define, formalise, adapt methods and tools to ensure continuous improvement of products, processes, safety, risk prevention and environmental preservation
  • Write and update instructions, procedures, instructions in line with Group policy
  • Train, if necessary, managers, employees and participate in staff awareness
  • Facilitate problem-solving or improvement groups
  • Ensure the traceability and conformity of all processes in relation to the specifications and standards in force by the Group to ensure that UK activity is compliant at all times
  • Analyse risks and opportunities
  • Plan improvement actions
  • Prepare, set up internal monitoring and audits as well as external and supplier audits
  • Perform statistical monitoring of results against objectives, prepare QSHE reports & QSH KPI’S
  • Evaluate the results of improvement actions
  • Compliance Manager also has responsibility for our AEO accreditation – to ensure UK Division is compliant at all times in line with regulatory procedures.
You must have
  • Knowledge of Freight Forwarding Industry
  • Qualified Auditor (desirable)
  • Need to be flexible and responsive to ‘developing’ improvement culture
  • Travel required within UK and Europe as required
  • Excellent Communication skills & interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels both within UK & at Corporate level
  • Proven analytical skills
