Maintenance Engineer
Salary:  To be discussed + shift allowance, paid overtime
Double day shift
Location: Birmingham
 
Part of a major international group, this organisation has recently invested in a new manufacturing facility and is continually launching new products for industry. As a Maintenance Engineer you will lead plant maintenance and  improvement activities whilst supporting Technicians and Apprentices
 
As a Maintenance Engineer within this organisation you will liaise with the other engineers and technicians to achieve manufacturing targets specifically around plant availability and PM completion, ensuring equipment availability is in line with departmental targets for shift
 
Duties:

o Provide breakdown support to manufacturing areas of the business.
o Carry out improvements and preventative maintenance on automated production lines
o Carry out fault finding activities on all manufacturing equipment and facilities incorporating electrical, robotics, PLC, HMI, material handling
o TPM/ PPM in high volume automated production facilities
o Adhere to strict working practices and safety practices
o Continuous improvements process to production equipment and machines 
o Support future capital equipment investment planning , installation and commissioning

Requirements:

Applications are sought from Multi skilled Maintenance Engineers, Maintenance Technicians or Maintenance Supervisors with experience gained in high volume manufacturing machinery
 
o Time served/ apprentice trained in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering  – C&G, BTEC, NVQ level
o Knowledge of automated and hydraulics process machinery such as moulding, stamping, forging, casting with associated robotic automation & test equipment
o Experience of electrical control systems, PLC and data collection /HMI fault finding
o Experience of implementing planned maintenance & TPM systems
o Able to work double days shift pattern and provide support for weekend and shut down maintenance ( paid overtime ) as required
