HSE Recruitment are exclusively working with a construction consultancy on the recruitment of a HSE Manager. This role will cover the central function which involves all territory from the Scottish Borders down to Nottingham, with an ideal base being around Merseyside. The role will involve being on the road approximately 50% of the time, with the other 50% of the time a mix of working from the Merseyside office or potentially at home.

Our client focuses on large scale retail projects including things like refurb and fit out, M&E, fire & security and traditional construction and engineering on these projects as a general contractor. The company and role is very fast paced so you must be used to, and comfortable with, this sort of environment. The role also has two direct reports, so man management experience is crucial.

As a HSE Manager you will be entirely responsible for the central region and will be able to build upon an existing and solid Safety system – with support from other regional HSE Managers. This role is one where no two days are the same, and requires someone interested in constantly developing and learning, and able to grow with the company as they continue to expand.

The ideal candidate would be Diploma or equivalent qualified and ideally will also be Grad or Chartered IOSH. Ideally we are looking for candidates from general construction backgrounds including M&E and refurb etc.
