Network HR are working exclusively with a Professional Services organisation that are looking to appoint an experienced HR Specialist on a part time basis (3 days per week) based in London.

Current and past assignments include a variety of high-profile cases related to commercial litigation, fraud and corruption, business valuations, business disputes, natural and man-made catastrophes, lost profits, business interruption, product liability and recall, and subrogation.

We are looking for a motivated Human Resources Specialist with an interest in working in a professional services environment.
The ideal candidate will be an individual who is personable, organized, has a desire to work in a fast paced work environment and is adaptable to ever changing situations. The company offers competitive compensation and benefits.
This person will direct the HR practices and strategies in support of the critical customer-facing and firm administrative functions of the business. The London office comprises approximately 25 people and responsibilities will include directing and coordinating human resources activities such as recruitment, training, employment reviews, compensation reviews and employee relations.

The tasks to be performed in tandem with the Partners of the London office will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute HR strategies and activities that foster growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness
- Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of labour records
- Identify changing legal requirements and regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
- Assist in the recruitment efforts to fill vacant positions, including development of position descriptions for new roles
- Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals
- Serve as a link between Partners and employees by handling questions, leaves of absence, and helping resolve work-related problems
- Manage records of benefit plans participation such as health insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations
- Coordinate management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review and health and safety practices
- Foster an environment of employee engagement and recognition by way of employee events and satisfaction surveys
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of employment laws and practices, preferably spanning more than one HR discipline
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Sensitivity to confidential matters
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Intermediate to advanced familiarity with Microsoft Office [e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.]
- Ability to coordinate and implement policies and procedures remotely
