Part of a major international group, this organisation has recently built a new manufacturing facility to produce complex high value components for the automotive industry. As a CNC Process Engineer your role will be to oversee and lead improvement activity for the CNC secondary manufacturing operations within a World Class Manufacturing  facility. This role is on Permanent Nights. 

CNC Process Engineer (Permanent Nights) 5 nights. 
Salary: £40,000 + shift allowance + pension + benefits 
Location: Telford, Shropshire

Reporting to the Senior Production Engineer, the role of Process Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and leading  the CNC manufacturing standpoint on the night shift. You will be an active presence on the shop floor, you will provide technical support on all production process related issues. On the night shift you will be the "go to" individual on the shopfloor to support setters and operatives in the Night Shift CNC Team.     

The key responsibilities for the CNC Process Engineer:- 
o Implement process improvement strategies across CNC machine tooling, jigs and fixtures, quality / data analysis and optimisation of machine controls and production flow.
o Strong understanding of SOPs and PFMEA documentation
o Continuous improvement activities
o Poke yoke (error proofing)
o Line balancing & Value Stream Mapping
o Engineering and associated process change management
o Your focus will be on the key manufacturing processes around CNC machining, all controlled in a highly automated production cells incorporating the latest Robots and PLC automation. (Siemens Controls knowledge essential to this role)  

Knowledge and Education required for the CNC Process Engineer will be:- 
You will already have a proven track record working in a similar Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Production Engineering role, Machine Shop Leader within a high volume manufacturing facility and some of the following attributes: 
o Apprentice/HND/Degree in an Engineering related subject
o Siemens controls knowledge is essential to this role 
o Experienced working with CNC machine tools, associated jigs and fixturing
o CNC programming and optimisation knowledge
o In-depth understanding of Lean Manufacturing/ Continuous Improvement methodologies and how to apply them in practice
o Confident hands-on approach, problem solving and route cause analysis.
o working knowledge of creating SOPs and PFMEA 
o Knowledge of route cause analysis and structured problem solving ( 8D, PPS, Fish bone)
