Process Engineer – Plastic Injection Moulding
Location: Shropshire
Salary: £45-50000 + benefits + pesin
Our client is an established manufacturing of high value assemblies for the World market and next year promises several key product launches, continued investment in the production facility and subsequent increase in volumes with further growth planned. This is an award winning site.
Job Description for Process Engineer:
o Support injection moulding team with technical advise to solve production, tooling and material issues
o Specification of injection moulding facilities and capital equipment
o Implement improvements in manufacturing processes to optimise process performance, aid ergonomics or improve capability
o Review and improve SOP/ process instructions, process flow, standard operations and capability
o Optimise process flow and minimise waste through use of lean manufacturing methods
Experience needed for the Process Engineer:
You will already be a competent Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer or Production Engineer with previous experience within high volume plastic injection moulding manufacturing background
o HNC/ Degree level or equivalent education in engineering or similar technical discipline
o Proven experience leading process improvement and capital equipment (CAPEX) projects including specification, cost justification and vender management through to project buy off and successful job1 launch.
o Experience of high volume series production processes and equipment incorporating injection moulding production and associated automation and tooling and assembly processes.
o Experience gained within automotive, medical devices, consumer goods or similar fast pace high quality metrics environment
o Hands on approach with proven problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail.
