A market leading Manufacturer based in Northamptonshire are looking for a Manufacturing Manager to join their team.
£28m turnover and with the business growing this is set to increase in the next few years.
The Manufacturing Manager will be heavily involved in NPI Projects due to the increasing product range, you will be process driven & able to communicate with all areas internally and externally across the business. You will have a tangible track record of success as the senior leader of a Manufacturing Team in a regulated environment.
The right person with the right attitude is the most important aspect for this role. Due to expansion of the business the right individual needs to be able to install positivity in the team & to communicate new ideas and best practice across the business in a highly regulated & complex assembly manufacturing environment.
Role: Manufacturing Manager
Salary: up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) + salaries + benefits
Location: Northamptonshire (commutable from Northampton, Kettering, Coventry, Rugby, Corby, Market Harborough)

The key responsibilites of the Manufacturing Manager will be:-
- Overseeing a team of Engineers/Leaders/supervisors/ – mentoring, empowering and improving the team knowledge and output is a key requirement.
- Installing best practice & streamlining the manufacturing processes (Complex Assembly).
- Managing build projects in terms of budgetary requirements, division of labour and essentially in time delivery.
- Working closely with the Operations Manager to oversee the “end to end” build process including Mechanical and Electrical Build, Programming, Test, Finishing, Quality Control, and Logistics.
- Overseeing project management/Supply Chain/Customer relationships. Having good commercial acumen will be very important
- Someone who is able to communicate very easily across all areas of the business from management to the shopfloor
- NPI Methodologies/ Exposure will be very important to this role due to the increased production line
- To increase output through the application of Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, DMAIC, Kaizen, etc.
- Has to be driving Health & Safety in all manufacturing processes. Be the standard bearer for all things HSE.
- Maintain and build strong supply chain/customer (internal/external) relationships
- A proven qualification in Engineering (Degree, HNC, HND)
- A track record of Manufacturing leadership in a multi functional engineering team
- Strong experience in Complex Manufacturing Assembly processes is truly the ideal for this role
- Working in depth knowledge of ERP/MRP is needed
- Process Driven, Lean/CI toolbox important - Six Sigma, Kanban, Kaizen, 5S, 5Y.
- NEBOSH or IOSH trained is required for this role
- Strong Experience in a regulated sector would be the ideal – Yellow Goods, Aerospace, Automotive - but must have a proven track record of successful managing and leading teams
