As a Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of the products meets the high standards of their customers. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining quality systems, developing and implementing quality controls, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer
- Working with product design and specification, devises testing plans, methods, and equipment to assure the reliability of the product. Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.
- Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.
- Strong PPAP skills.
- Provides analysis and explanations of testing and inspection plans, methods, and technologies to assure reliability and conformance of products and processes.
- Utilizes UPPAP core elements (PFMEA, MSA, Process Capability, FAIR, Control Plans, etc.) to identify and make recommendations for managing risk in product development.
- Reviews process control documentation to ensure it complies with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.
- Responsible for both Program and Product Quality Engineering.
Requirements for the Quality Engineer
- Quality Engineering background
- Working knowledge of auditing, PFMEA, Control plans, MS, ISIR, IMDS and problem solving tools such as 8D, 5Y.
- Lean, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis experience
- Quality Certifications
- Automotive or Aerospace background
