Communications Manager

Network HR have been retained by an ethical investment organisation that support and assist developing countries to enhance their economic growth, to recruit an experienced Communications Manager.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Communications Manager will be responsible for implementing the communication strategy to deliver campaigns that will strengthen the brand and reputation and help position the Group. The Communications Manager will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the wider Group to align and deliver ‘One‘ brand and communication framework.

This role has a broad remit of responsibilities including multi- channel management, PR and media engagement. You will build a deep understanding of the organisations unique proposition to be both innovative and pioneering through our developmental impact ethos.

Role
• Support the planning of all multi-channel content to strengthen the brand in partnership with the Brand Manager
• Ensure brand is clearly represented and aligned across all communication channels and also across the Group
• Support the Head of Communications in creating engaging content that aligns with the company vision
• Manage media engagement and build relationships with media partners to increase the organisations profile and coverage across key focus areas, including drafting press releases and handling media enquiries
• Collaboratively develop an annual communications plan and budget and manage delivery against these;
• Oversee the development of new content across multiple channels
• Working with various teams across the business, showcasing project work and announcing new ventures
• Work closely with Chief of Staff to lead the monthly company Comms Working Group.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to align the wider Group and deliver ‘One’ brand/ communications framework.
• Lead on the design and development of ‘Group’ website and intranet
• Monitor and analyse the reach and impact (where feasible) of communications

Skills and Experience
• Previous experience in a communications role in a Global organization
• Ideally Educated to degree level or holds a recognised communications/journalism qualification
• Significant external and internal communications experience and success delivering compelling communications strategies and campaigns
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent organisational skills, able to multitask with a high level of attention to detail
• Excellent presentation skills, both written and oral
• Proven ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement
• Creative communication skills, displaying excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrable experience of PR, social media and SEO best practices
• Proven experience of designing, editing and writing communications, with a creative eye for design and excellent attention to detail
