A leading Tier 1 Global Manufacturer in Telford are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to step up into a Team Leader role to join their ranks at the world class manufacturing plant. As an award winning site & with a strong list of customers globally; the business are currently looking for a skilled & robust individual who will be responsible for the day to day leadership and coordination of the maintenance team. The right candidate will have a strong electrical bias for this particular role.
With a clear appetite to invest in the business and its staff; you will be backed by the management to operate at a high standard and develop maintenance processes and be a big part of the Maintenance Management team.
Role: Maintenance Team Leader
Salary: £38,000 per annum + Shift allowance (15%) + Pension + Benefits

The key responsibilities for the Maintenance Team Leader will be:
- Liaise with Production Engineering and Operations to identify and implement equipment and process Kaizen activities to improve availability, cycle time, changeover, Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and Quality.
- Direct the team to support breakdown maintenance activity to improve machine availability.
- Continuously look for cost down opportunities and increased value for money in items purchased.
The essential requirements for the Maintenance Team Leader will be:
- Previous experience within a Maintenance Section within a high volume lean manufacturing environment.
- Industry knowledge any fast paced advanced manufacturing exposure including Automotive/Aerospace/FMCG/Food Manufacturing
- Working knowledge of PLCs, robots, computerised controls systems and interfaces.
- Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- HNC or BTech in Electrical engineering
