This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced commercial focused Project Manager who is seeking an autonomous and varied role with a corporate engineering and manufacturing environment.
Project Manager
Location: Herfordshire
Salary: c£70,000 plus benefits
This international manufacturer is fairly unique in terms of its products and manufacturing process and following corporate restructuring a newly created position for a commercially astute Project Manager has arisen to become part of the senior leadership team. The business has a strong order book with a wide and diverse customer base.
Duties:
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for delivering multiple projects on time and as per agreed specification.
o Principal interface between the customer and manufacturing, taking responsibility for managing the project from bidding stage, order receipt, acknowledgement and through execution to the successful delivery of the material and full Customer satisfaction.
o Perform contract review for ‘customer orders’, verifying documentation is in place with customer to commence production.
o Ownership of the Project Milestones to ensure successful completion of orders and conduct periodical review meetings with all stakeholders Submit regular progress reports, follow up on payment invoices & bank
Experience & Attributes:
You will already be an experienced Contracts Manager, Project Manager or Planning Manager with several years leadership and management experience gained with a large corporate manufacturing environment.
o Previous exposure to high volume engineering / manufacturing environment, preferably related to aerospace, oil & gas, nuclear or heavy industry
o Project control from customer order through project lifecycle
o Interact with customer and influence a cross-functional disciplined internal teams
o Able to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work effectively in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities
o Excellent communication, organisation, problem resolution and presentation skills
o Strong computer skills, including all MS Office applications, Sales and Marketing databases and preferably SAP applications
