Part of a major international group, this modern manufacturing facility is recruiting an experienced Maintenance & Facilities Manager to lead a team maintaining all plant assets and site services in a world class production environment.
Maintenance & Facilities Manager
Salary to £65000 plus benefits
Location: West Midlands (commutable from Wolverhampton, Dudley, Redditch, Droitwich, Worcester, Birmingham areas)
Reporting to the Plant Manager the Maintenance & Facilities Manager role is to maximise the operating efficiency of the plant and to maintain the assets of the site, by coordination and planning of internal maintenance resources and outsourced human resources, preparing material needs and coordinating machine availability with other departments
Duties:
o Lead and mentor a multiskilled diverse engineering team plus management of subcontracted vendors
o Responsible for all site based maintenance activities – plant & machinery, site services & facilities, environmental, calibration and site security lreading a direct and indirect workforce.
o Ensure regulatory and legislation compliance for HSE, COSHH, RAMS, Environmental, PUWER etc
o Prioritising preventative and corrective maintenance work orders within the CMMS.
o Budget control plus CapEx planning and justification
o Manage and control maintenance engineering resources available in order to achieve required OEE levels, regulatory plant and equipment safety standards.
o Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant.
Requirements:
Applications are sought from experienced Maintenance or Facilities Managers or Engineering Managers who are keen to work for a world class engineering and manufacturing organisation.
o Time served mechanical or electrical apprentice, IOSH or NEBOSH desirable
o Proven ability to develop, upskill and coach a technical team
o Set departmental objectives/ KPIs and review to drive continued performance
o Experienced and in-depth knowledge of planned maintenance, TPM, RCM and CMMS system
o Broad understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance, environmental legislation and site services / utilities activities within high volume manufacturing environment
o Substantial understanding of environmental & H&S legislation
