HSE Recruitment have been briefed on a truly unique HSE opportunity with a leading Manufacturing and Engineering business. They are seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Leader to be based at their new Logistics Centre in Daventry. This site will become the central logistics hub and a centre of excellence for the business.

As this is a brand new plant, you will have the benefit of not inheriting health and safety from someone else, whether good or bad. You will have full autonomy to develop a strong and positive HSE culture from the get go, embedding this ethos along with the companies values into the policies and procedures on site. You will spot and implement continuous improvement initiatives to achieve and sustain world-class HSE performance.
With this unique site you will bring your technical expertise to develop intricate hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs. Anticipate, identify, and evaluates hazardous safety conditions and environmental risks. Interpret and apply internal and external standards in support of hazard and risk reduction and compliance. Last but not least, effectively manage the HSE team, setting and achieving KPI's and encouraging skills developments and progression.
Skills and Experince required:
• NEBOSH Diploma Level or equivalent qualification is essential and it would be desirable to hold GradIOSH or CMIOSH status.
• Proven experince as a genuine HSE leader not just the technical subject expert, someone who can truly drive culture and accountability at a senior level so proven experince in a similar role would be required.
• Experince in high risk environments such as warehousing, production, construction would be beneficial as key risks on site include; working at height, pedestrian and vehicle interaction, fire and COSHH.
• Implementation of ISO systems.
The salary on offer for this role is £55-65,000.
