Our Client are a leading manufacturer in the heart of Gloucester are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join the team on days. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, demonstrating the ability to maintain and repair equipment efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the capability to work independently or as part of a team. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and systems, contributing to overall productivity and safety within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance of all equipment.
- Installation and continuous improvement of all plant, machinery, utilities, building and facilities.
- Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Assist with machinery controls, programming and PLC related requirements.
- Undertake engineering and site projects
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs performed.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Appropriate qualifications and time served experience.
- Familiarity with schematics and logic controllers is highly desirable.
- Flexible approach, a team player with a willingness to continually learn.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, enabling clear interaction with team members and stakeholders.
- A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
