We are exclusively working with a reputable OEM who due to growth, are now looking for a Technical Advisor to head up the entire East of England region. This position will suit an ex-Engineer who is looking to progress from the spanners into a customer facing position which will combine your technical skills and other commercial acumen.

What will you do?

• Provides all aspects of technical support to all relevant departments and externally to customers
• Follow up with factories on technical issues; assist the Warranty and Service Department to ensure maximum recovery and customer satisfaction
• Responds promptly to internal and external customers, knowing who to approach for additional support and assistance
• Prepare and submit detailed reports and feedback for every investigation undertaken, including customer reports if required
• Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with internal departments and team members so as to assist in achieving the departments key performance indicators

•Pro-actively contributes to departmental meetings
•Manages personal time schedule and productivity
•Proven sales success with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Construction, Agriculture, Transport sector or related industries• Actively develops a network of new customer relationships with both new and existing clients.•Manage the full 360 sales cycle from initial lead generation right through to successful closure of deals and ongoing account management and development with new and existing customers• Maintains an accurate database of all customer contact details at all times• Takes ownership for customer complaints, remains the point of contact and resolves these to a satisfactory conclusion.• Consistently achieve sales and profitability targets.• Maintains an excellent relationship with suppliers ensuring that the correct specifications for an order are delivered to the customer.• Works closely with the Sales office organisation and other departments to maximise results and relationships What do you need?

• Previous success and experience in a similar role within the construction industry (i.e. plant and/or hire) is essential
• A genuine passion for used and new heavy equipment
• Flexible approach to work and able to easily service the East of England territory
• Tenacious attitude with a constant consideration for the brand
• Demonstrable skills in negotiation and selling
• Outstanding communication skills and can demonstrate how this has been used effectively across team and customer relationships
• Existing experience working in the construction, plant hire or dealership industry
•Able to demonstrate ability to work effectively with customers in a pressurised environment
