What drew you to recruitment in the first place?
Matt: I previously worked for a company selling stairs, when a friend from University contacted me and asked If I would like to get into recruitment. The rest as they say is history. I love recruitment because I love the feeling of placing somebody in a job they really want, I also love dealing with people and building a rapport.
Describe your personality in three words.
Matt: Witty, compassionate and ambitious.
One of ENG’s strongest values is inspiration. Who inspires you the most?
Matt: Clement Attlee, he was in my opinion the greatest peace time PM we have ever had. Huge social housing building, workers rights and the NHS were all brought in by his party.
What would you do if you didn’t work in recruitment?
Matt: God knows, I would probably still be selling stairs!
How do you spend your spare time?
Matt: I love going to the gym and enjoy body building (I have a long way to go) I also used to play Rugby but had to retire due to injury, but still love to watch. I am also a big football fan and support Aston Villa, I had a season ticket, the season we were relegated...
What are you most excited about working at Executive Network Group?
Matt: The opportunity to progress and develop my career, the guidance and support ENG provides is great and I am looking forward to becoming a better more rounded Recruiter.
