The HR Directors Business Summit and The HR Distinction Awards

Last week, the team at Network HR attended The HR Directors Business Summit and The HR Distinction Awards.

Being sponsors of both, we were extremely proud to be a part of such a prestigious event and award ceremony. The HR Directors Business Summit is the most senior event of its kind in Europe and the UK, and allowed us a chance to network and talk with some HR professionals who we had never had the pleasure of connecting with until this date. 

The event was a huge success, a big pull for attendees being Dave Ulrich as a speaker. The HR Management guru is one of the most influential people in HR, and the “Ulrich Model” changed HR as we know it. In contrast, Nev Wilshire from the Call Centre – CEO of Saving Britain Money – delivered a keynote speech.Speaking with many of the delegates at the event, it was clear that the workshops and speakers were extremely engaging and thought-provoking. The theme this year was all about “reshaping the present, reimagining the future” and certainly left the team with lots to think about.

We were also able to showcase and present our newest brand to people at the event – Network HR Executive Search. In the coming months, we will be rolling out a full launch of our Executive Search brand of Network HR. This exciting development was born from our increasing involvement in search and selection, and are now proud to be able to offer a bespoke service for each and every client. We had a terrific time mingling with the very best of HR professionals at the Summit, and also donned our best outfits for the HR Distinction Awards as a whole team! It was a great evening that allowed us to really immerse ourselves in the industry, and a fantastic initiation for our newest member of the team, Phil (newly graduated from our training academy!) who is really flourishing in his sector. But by far, the best part of the night was being able to present the award for HR Team Of The Year to the very worthy winners Travelex. We definitely appreciate, and know first hand, the importance of a fantastic team when it comes to HR. 

The team thoroughly enjoyed themselves at both events. Being able to present such a prestigious accolade, and surround ourselves by leaders in their field is inspiring, as keeping up with the industry and emerging trends is so important for us. The opportunity to catch up with old faces and introduce ourselves to those who may not have heard of Network HR before on a face-to-face basis is so valuable to what we do. We were all also extremely excited to meet Claudia Winkleman, who was hosting the award ceremony!
